Knetic64 Mission
To help adults 50 and older build the strength, mobility, and stability they need to live fully, move confidently, and keep going for the long run. Through personalized, evidence-based training and a genuine understanding of what this chapter of life demands, Knetic64 exists to prove that your best years are not behind you. They are still being built.
The Person Behind Knetic64
Hi, I'm Ulisses.
I'm a 62-year-old NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NCCA Accredited) based in Los Angeles, and I created Knetic64 because I lived the exact experience my clients are navigating right now.
For years I pushed hard. I cycled thousands of miles across California as part of the AIDS Lifecycle. I co-founded and led Trailmixer, a hiking nonprofit, logging 1,760 miles of trails and 378,000 feet of elevation gain across peaks including Mt. Shasta, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. San Gorgonio. I thought I knew what it meant to be fit.
Then my 50s had other plans.
After years of pushing hard, my 50s had other plans. I dealt with torn hamstrings, a torn meniscus, a torn Achilles during recovery, rotator cuff issues, plantar fasciitis, and lower back pain. Each injury forced me to stop, reassess, and completely rebuild the way I trained. That process was humbling, but it was also the most important education I ever received about how the body actually works as it ages.
What I learned changed everything. I stopped training to look fit and started training to be fit, building strength, mobility, and stability that serve real life, not just the gym. That shift is the foundation of everything I do at Knetic64.
I bring my certifications, my athletic history, and my personal experience with setback and recovery to every program I build. My clients are not a demographic to me. They are people I genuinely understand, because I am one of them.
When I'm not training clients you'll find me on a trail somewhere in Southern California with my chihuahua Rosie, who started this whole journey in the most dramatic way possible. But that's a story for another day.
